Support during coronavirus

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a new normal for all of us, one that most of us are still trying to wrap our brains around. And we are all having to adjust, whether we want to or not. We are also—all of us—grieving. We are grieving the loss of physical closeness with our family and friends, loss of financial security, at worst a job, loss of our routines, loss of predictability and normalcy, and for some, the loss of our loved ones to this virus or other illnesses. The list goes on.

Such grief can leave you feeling afraid, sad, angry, irritable, restless, isolated, alone, hopeless, unfocused, unmotivated, and sometimes all of these feelings at once. I understand because I am hunkered down in this experience with you.

If you need a steady, calm presence in your life right now, someone to listen to you and to help you cope with this uncertainty, please call. I am offering teletherapy and have openings for new clients.

The big questions

If you're like most of us, life can get pretty busy, complicated, even overwhelming at times, and we push aside those big questions that trouble us such as:

who am I?
how do I really want to live my life?
what is important to me?
what’s next?

These questions often resurface - whether we want them to or not - during times of loss, death, transition, when everything familiar has been stripped away, and we are left feeling frustrated, uncertain, and alone. It is exactly during these times that therapy can help.

I can help you explore these questions and

shift old patterns of thinking and behaving
navigate new challenges in creative, flexible ways
learn from mistakes instead of dwelling in regret and self-criticism
cultivate a genuine relationship with yourself and others
work through transitions and uncertainty
cope with death, loss, and trauma
treat yourself with compassion and gentleness
